I have been researching my family history this summer and having a great time doing it. It is very addicting!!! Thank goodness I am a teacher and have the summer off. It has given me the time to do the research.
I have a page that shows what I have found so far. http://www.squidoo.com/sykes_family_history This page highlights my biological father, Quintin S. Sykes family history. Though my Sykes lineage it looks like I am a direct desendant of a few of the Mayflower passengers. Very cool!! I am going to get a DNA test as soon as I have the extra money to confirm this connection! I will also be having my son tested as well. I have a feeling that my husband lineage and mine will cross as he is a Fuller and I have Fuller's in my lineage with direct connection to the Mayflower.
I am also searching for my mom's history too. It is much more difficult as she does not know who her biological father is. We only know who her mother is. She was adopted within the family too.
If you are reading this and have any information on the Sykes family, Adam Kohler or Susan Bellas. Please contact me or leave me a message here.

Today, March 14th, is my birthday. I am not feeling well as I woke up with a mild migraine. I did get to have some time alone today which helped. The headache stayed with me all day!!!

My son and I went for a walk in a near by park (open area with trees).
The light of the full moon last night was beautiful. We could see the individual ice crystals
sparkling on the snow. We laid in the snow and looked at the stars and enjoyed how peaceful
it was. Reminded me of being a kids and doing the same thing. Luckily where I live we are with
in walking distance of feeling like we are in the country. I am sure he will remember our walk
when he is an adult.
